Six Consortiums Selected to Lead Digital Transformation of Public Medical Institutions

Including Hippo T&C Consortium for Managing ADHD and Depression through Digital Therapeutics


(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Sung-mi Jo = The National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) announced on the 15th that six new consortiums, including the Deepnoid consortium, have been selected as recipients of support for the AI-based medical system digital transformation project.


The Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA have been supporting digital transformation projects for public medical institutions since last year, with the aim of bridging regional healthcare gaps and improving the quality of public medical services. While last year's consortiums were led by hospitals as the principal institutions, this year's consortiums are centered around information and communications technology (ICT) companies. Each consortium will receive up to 2 billion KRW in funding over two years.


The Deepnoid consortium, centered around Masan, Suncheon, and Seogwipo Medical Centers, will work on building AI solutions related to pulmonary and brain diseases, linking nearby public health centers with emergency patients, and utilizing cloud-based hospital information systems.


The Hi consortium will conduct validation of an AI-based digital therapeutic solution for language and cognitive rehabilitation of stroke patients at Boramae Hospital and Kangwon National University Hospital.


In the mental health sector, the Hippo T&C consortium will advance specialized AI solutions to help address Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and depressive disorders, while the Neudive consortium will focus on resolving issues related to Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social Communication Disorder.
