Neudive Collaborates with K-MEDI Hub and Astrogen on Development of Digital Therapeutic Device for Autism Spectrum Disorder

K-MEDI Hub (Daegu-Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation, Chairman Jin-young Yang) announced that it signed a business agreement on the 20th with companies developing therapeutic drugs and digital therapeutics for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The K-MEDI Hub Advanced Medical Device Development Support Center has joined forces with Neudive (CEO Sung-ja Cho), a company developing digital solutions, and Astrogen (CEO Su-kyung Hwang), a company developing treatments for Autism Spectrum Disorder, to collaborate on the development of digital medical devices.
The foundation is currently carrying out a digital healthcare medical device validation support project worth 3 billion KRW annually. Through this agreement, it plans to provide support not only for regulatory approval of autism spectrum digital medical devices, but also for company-hospital linked clinical validation.
This business agreement is expected to produce tangible results for the digital healthcare validation support project. The foundation has committed to working on the development of new digital therapeutics by combining Astrogen's technological capabilities with Neudive's digital IT convergence.
Neudive is a resident company of the foundation that develops digital solutions for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder in children and adolescents. It recently received approval for an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) exploratory clinical trial for its cognitive therapy software 'NDTx-01' through the foundation's validation support program.
Astrogen is also a resident company of the foundation, and previously received support from K-MEDI Hub for the contract manufacturing of its Phase 1 clinical trial drug AST-001 (development name) for Autism Spectrum Disorder treatment. Having recently announced Phase 2 clinical trial results, it is a leading company in the development of treatments for intractable neurological diseases and is on the verge of entering Phase 3 clinical trials for regulatory approval of the drug. Autism Spectrum Disorder is considered one of the most intractable diseases, with no established standard treatment and no cure to date, making effective therapeutic alternatives urgently needed to alleviate the suffering of medical staff, patients, and their families.
Through this agreement, each organization has agreed to mutually cooperate on the following:
▶ conducting clinical trials for the development of drug treatments and digital therapeutics for Autism Spectrum Disorder
▶ technical exchange of development know-how
▶ supporting domestic regulatory approval and clinical validation of drug treatments and digital therapeutics.
K-MEDI Hub Chairman Jin-young Yang emphasized: "We have joined forces with our resident companies to overcome Autism Spectrum Disorder. K-MEDI Hub will not only support research and development, but also connect related companies to help them scale up, and in doing so contribute to overcoming Autism Spectrum Disorder."
